I was not going to comment on this because I agree with everything Steve said about this high quality British TV series. What makes State of Play even more enjoyable - apart from the excellent acting and characterisation, the relentless tension and the labyrinthine but perfectly articulated plot - is the absence of the now standard BBC intro to each episode in a serial, consisting of a jumble of unchronogical fragments from preceding episodes.
